November 2017 Showcase Cinemas Student Athlete of the Month

Sarah Sweet from Narragansett High School, and Ayodeji George from Cranston High School East, have been named winners of the Showcase Cinemas Athlete of the Month for November 2017.

Sarah is a junior at Narragansett High School. She is a three-sport athlete participating in girls volleyball, basketball and lacrosse. Throughout her years, she has completed a wide variety of community service projects such as organized and hosted a 3 vs 3 basketball tournament at Narragansett High School where all proceeds will be donated to the Tomorrow Fund, an organization near and dear to her heart as they helped her family during a tough time. In addition, Sarah is a thriving member of the Narraganset High School concert and marching band. She is also an outstanding student and Honor Roll Student.





Ayodeji is a senior at Cranston High School East. He is a four-year starter and captain of the boys soccer team. He is a three-sport athlete participating in boys soccer, indoor and outdoor track. He not only received first team All-Division honors, but also was named the Division III Player of the Year. In addition, Ayo was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-New England regional team. He has maintained a GPA of 4.30 and ranks 22nd out of 402 seniors. He is a leader by example and his character, integrity and work ethic continually inspire and motivate his classmates and teammates to be the same way.
