2019-20 RILL Student-Athlete of the Month
The goal of this program is to recognize the outstanding efforts of student-athletes in Rhode Island high school athletic programs who:
- Excel in the classroom
- Excel during competition
- Participate in multiple school sponsored sports
- Demonstrate good citizenship in their school and community
The Rhode Island Interscholastic League congratulates the RIIL Student-Athlete of the Month winners for October:
Frederick Mallay, Mt. Pleasant High School
A vocal leader both academically and athletically, Frederick is an honors student at Mt. Pleasant high school. In addition to competing for the Kilties’ football and indoor and outdoor track teams, he sings with the Mt. Pleasant chorus, is a member of the math team and is also involved in student government.
Brianna Andrade, Shea High School
Ranked first in her senior class at Shea High School, Brianna is senior class president and also co-director of the Shea Fashion Show. A recipient of Shea’s Key Spirit Award, she served as co-captain and played No. 2 singles for the Raiders’ tennis team and is also a three-year starting outfielder for the softball team.
